On a certain set of older software titles that range anywhere from last year all the way back to 1993, I get absolutly terrible performance in the ways of;
fps bottoming out in certain situations i.e. when a lot of graphics are forced to change quickly in a game.
terrible performance in some games that require pentium 133s and 64mb integrated graphics, yet I can play games like medieval: total war, and the stronghold series just fine.
Im thinking this is software and not hardware, but i could be mistaken. This is honestly driving me nuts
sys specs:
Win XP sp2
Biostar TForce 6100-939
AMD A64 3000+ E6 Venice @ 240 HTT
2.5-4-3-6 1t @ 240 FSB
Sapphire X700Pro (256MB version)
Onboard audio (possibly a culprit??)
