Can someone please explain to me the pros and cons
of terminal services versus PC Anywhere.
I want to do a solid evaluation between the two remote access utilities.
(note: my first post here )
thanks in advance

Well, terminal services is great if you can afford Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I think that it is much harder to configure Terminal Services for external accessing...but I'm not really sure.

Sorry that I can't help more, but that is what I know.

Cheers.

i know pcAnywhere, but i have never used terminal services. from my experiences PCA is great. it beats winXP remote desktop by a longshot. you do not need to log off or switch users to access a remote client with PCA and you can transfer files, clipboard, switch user accounts during a session, and everything else with PCA.

you do not need a server to run PCA and the management and security with PCA is great. plus PCA is so sneaky when a host connects to the remote client they have no warning. so you can mess with their mouse and keyboard or download porn to their computer and they will think their computer has a virus heh, heh

if you need help setting up pcAnywhere let me know

Well I actually do use PC Any alot
for customer sites and to connect to my computer at home when iam in office. However, I wasnt sure about terminal services and how it differs from PC Any .... if it does at all. Thanks for your replies I will definitely stick with PC Anywhere.
