Techra 700cs/OS install prob

Ok, heres the prob, I have this old laptop, a Toshiba techra 700cs that I am to be loading an OS onto and when I boot the computer I get invalid sytem disk error. I can access the bios but it does not have many options. for boot sequence it has either HDD>FDD or FDD>HDD. unfortunetly there is no floppy drive and it wont boot from the cdrom. the floppy port is not your normal type of port that i can just take a floppy drive from a desktop.....what the heck do I do?

I have no access to another laptop floppy or another laptop at all.

Hunt around for an external floppy drive. Thats what I had to do, you might be screwed... if it doesnt boot from a cdrom then you need a floppy. Floppy is horrible I hate them and everything about them,.. yet when you need a floppy you need a floppy

does anyone know if that floppy port connector is universal for all laptops? i know desktops, not laptops.....
