can someone please tell me what this is, and if i need it to properly run windows? it says it is a system settings protector. whatever it really is, it takes a tremendous amount of resources. 43,236k to be exact according to the task manager box. i don't want to screw things up by shutting it down. but that amount of data running constantly certainly has to be taxing on this old system. if i close it, and things start going crazy, will it restart when i restart the system?

teatimer is part of Spybot. Spybot is a legitimate business of an anti-spy software program. You can manually turn off teatimer within Spybot's settings or un-install Spybot

thanks! i had forgotten that i was going to uninstall spybot. i had no idea that it was taking up this kind of resources.
