Default Taskbar problem that has stumped many.

Im having a problem with something here, and alot of people have looked at it both in person, or have been described the problem, with no avail, so here it is.

I normally have 5 things running and showing in my taskbar besides the clock.

Norton Antivirus
Norton Internet Security
speaker /sndsrvc.exe
ATI control

All of a sudden, they all disappeared except for NAV and MSN, but all the previous tasks are still running. My system is running really odd, but cant find any virus, trojan, ad ware, etc...

did explorer restart by chance? This will normally refresh the icons in the taskpad and not bring them back. Check your eventlog for any explorer errors.
