task manager disabled

i have windows xp, when i click ctrl alt del it comes up saying that task manager has been disabled by the admin but i am the only one with an account on my computer and it is admin anyone know why this is?

Probably the work of some spyware/trojan. The fix is given below ,just change some settings in the registry. BTW, after enabling taskbar ,check for the usual stuff[adware/spyware/virii/trojans]


Open Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) and navigate to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
In the right-pane, double-click DisableTaskMgr and set it's data to 0
