Question taking ghost of partition with bad sector

recently my hard disk has developed bad sectors , one of my friends told me formatting the drive could solve the problem sometimes. so i have to take a ghost of the partition and save it somewhere, so that i could format the drive .

i encountered problem here, i could not take ghost of the bad sectored drive.

1.Is there any other way to solve this problem or to remove bad sectors.?

2.What will be the effect of bad sectors if i leave it uncared.

I agree 110%. Just to back Dave up.....
You can use the 3rd party application to move the bad sectors to a certain portion of the drive and it'll be maked and never be used again. As for the data on that particular portion........as Dave said, it's toast.
