hi guys,

System is a hp t350 running windows home edition.

Hope you can help.

got an error message the other day saying windows could not load and it could be because of new software or hardware installed.

Nothing new had ben installed and to cut a long story short, decided to do full recovery. This didn't work, kept getting error messages about not able to extract files.

Rang hp up and they said it was something to do with the latest windows update and the recovery disks I'd made had failed and they would send me one out.

Tried this today and got halfway through and same error message appears.

Tried again and now getting message "file\minint\system32\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded error code 4128 "

Any ideas.

1. Restart your computer, and then start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard.

On a computer that is configured for starting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when you see the Operating System Choices menu.
2. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, select the Return to OS Choices Menu option, and then press ENTER.
3. Select the Cancel Windows XP Setup option.
4. Use the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel to remove the third-party software from your computer.
5. After you have removed the third-party software, restart your computer.
6. Upgrade your computer to Windows XP.
7. Reinstall the third-party software after the upgrade process is complete.
