system service eating up system resources!!!

Hi,
sorry for posting so soon again but I have yet another weird problem. The system program svchost.exe is taking away about 50-60% of my cpu usage continuously after I boot up. When i kill it with ctr-alt-del, cpu usage drops down to normal 0-2% levels. I have windows XP Home. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

Wait, let me rephrase that,
svchost.exe takes about 25% of the resuorces and isass.exe takes approximately the other 25%. However, it won't let me close isass.exe because it 's some ciritcal service, but when i close svchost.exe, isass.exe also stops using up system resources.

you had better google isass.exe for it prolly has come to be infected with the optix strain virus.
