I used AVG Free Edition a few days ago on my Windows ME computer and I
noticed that it created a restore folder with these 4 files inside:
1. DISKCFG
2. SRDISKID
3. VxDMon
4. VxDMon
The thing is when I try to delete the folder because I don't need it I get a
error message that tells me I can't delete the folder because the source
file may be in use. I cleaned out system restore and it still didn't work.
How can I get rid of this folder?

I had the same prob a while back when i was using me. Except i had viruses backed up in my restore dir. I was able to delete files by:

Write down all the file names and locations. (temp folders)

Turn off sys restore, then put in a bootdisk & restart.

At the dos prompt goto the sys restore dir.

Change the attributes on all the dirs/files you want to delete.
-h (hidden) -s (system) -r (readonly)

You should be able to delete now.
