Default System Hangs!

ok heres the deal. my computer was working fine and fast till i moved house. it starts up fine but when ever i open an application up or anything it hangs for about 20 seconds then opens what ever i was trying to open. it happens with everything , command prompt, volume control, msn, itunes, IE, my documents, EVERYTHING.. i have no idea wat is causing this somebody please help.

can you list details about your machine? what hardware/software you're running?

check all of your cable connections....

check how much memory it using (task manager). Check the processes and see how much mem/cpu usage its using. Check the disk has no errors(scandisk). Also as csamuels said, run some malware scans.

once i open something then if i close it then open it again later it dosnt hang like it did the first time i opened it.... mean anything?
