Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Error signature-------
szAppName: svchost.exe szAppVer: 5.1.2600.5512 szModName: ntdll.dll
szModVer: 5.1.2600.5755 offset: 00023845
The following files will be included in this error report:
C:\DOCUME~1\DANNYL~1\Temp\WER20b8.dir00\svchost.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\DANNYL~1\Temp\WER20b8.dir00\appcompat.txt
This error comes up around 10 minutes after the computers start-up.
It stops my scvhost.exe from running tons of other processes like Windows Management Instrumentation, etc. and it makes the computer extremely slow. AVG detected a virus from svchost.exe but it's the one in my system32 folder and there are no duplicates.
I need a way to replace my svchost.exe but I lost my windows xp disc, if anybody has a link to an xp svchost.exe file and knows how I can replace it, I would be very grateful.
