Angry Strange windows XP error

I get this message just about everytime I shut down windows XP SP1. It says end program - kernel32.dll ;

what can I do to fix this? I have to hit the "end now" button to skip it... very annoying. It has been doing this ever since I installed Service Pack 1.

k, do you get an detail button? it will say something like 'such and such caused in invalid page fault/OR a general protection fault in module such and such (propably kernel32.dll) give us that detail.... also do you use roxio 5.0? there is an issue with that:

No I dont use roxio. And no detail button either.... it just has a progress bar where it auto closes itself if I dont press "end now". Very weird.

I seem to get this error alot in the event viewer:

The NTPort Library Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
