Unhappy Strange message + lost my cd

Hey guys I need my XP cd – the main reason being the message below:
This isn’t an internet popup but it may or may not be some kind of virus or spyware but its time for a format anyways. The problem is that I have lost my cd I was wondering could I just get another XP home cd and use it? I still have cd key – will that work with another cd? Thanks for any help

How about doing a system restore. Just go into help system restore and set it back to an earler time.

go to that key. When you open it, there will be a 0 in the box, paste this ffffff9d = disabled there and it will/should disable it
