Strange explorer

I have a strange behavior in windows explorer for W98SE.

When I left click on the + for a given folder, it normally opens it, no problem.
But when I left click on the - to close this same folder, it closes it, and generally re-opens it right after.
Most of the time, I succeed to close the folder the second or third time, very rarely at the first time.

I first suspected a problem with the mouse (Logitech wheel optical mouse), deleted it, re-installed the last driver from Logitech, and I thought the probleme was solved, but it came back the day after.

Any idea ?

it is a problem in the mouse logic behavior. It has to do with the click. Do you have single click enabled for double clicking? I have seen this several times with this issue. Also, a touchy mouse buttons (one that is too sensitive) can cause this. Might try a new mouse.
