Strange Beeping At Start-Up

Whenever I turn my computer on, it beeps about 4 times and then shuts off. The monitor does not turn on at all. After I try to turn it on afterwards it usually works after one or two tries where it beeps.

what kind of bios do you have?

4 beep codes could be a few items depending on th manu.

And I don't think you can fix a System Timer, so start looking into a new motherboard.

aint that with the bios? wonder if he flashes the bios what would happen

well the system timer is what generates the heart beat of the computer it keeps the CPU and most componenst in sync with data processing and sending. Prehaps a flash would work. I dunnue never tried it.
