Startup Issue

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

Today I started up my PC (running Windows Vista Home Premium). The My Documents folder came up instead of explorer.exe. I had to start Task Manager to open up explorer.exe because it wasn't running at startup. I looked at the startup programs and it didn't give me any options for explorer.exe, so I have no clue what is wrong with it.

Any advice, aside from reformatting or trying to install a new OS?

explorer.exe will just start with Windows, it won't be in Startup. That is what runs the interface pretty much.

First thought is spyware or virus. You might want to check the virus forum and run Hijack this. Also visit Osiris's spyware guide.

Thanks. I think it is a Trojan virus, and it still is on because that issue is still happening. Still not sure why though.
