Unhappy Start Up Failure

Well i have a computer tht is a Gateway Destination 2000. I was working fine the other day, but than the next day it went wacko. Its a school computer, so i dont know if anyone played around with it or not. It was a day i didnt use it, well over night. The next day i went in, turned it on and all i got was 8 beeps. I no its the BIOS but i dont no wht it means. Since they have upgraded the computers so much they have put harddrives in them. So the old hardrive is still in there, but not connected. I dont know how they run but they did. I was wondering what was in side so i took off the cover. Inside I found no memory in the slots. I no its SDRAM but theres none in it. So all the problem is is it wont start up. Just beeps and sits there. There is no monitor at all. All the monitor says is check PC and cables. So i would like to getr this working. Plez get back to me ASAP! Thanx

Default video/mem error

The system video adapter is either missing or its memory is faulty.
