Start program minimized

I need to start a program so that when windows starts, the program also starts but just the icon gets added to the taskbar on the bottom right hand corner.

I have tried adding a shortcut to 'startup' folder and i changed the properties of the shortcut to 'start minimized' but although it comes as a icon it also comes as a window. I want just to start as an icon. How do I do this?

Is there an option to start the program minimized within the program? What program is it? Also, check msconfig and see if there is an entry in there.
