Every time I try to click on a program from the Start menu (All Programs) it doesn't work. I'll click the All Programs and then try to click on an application, and it doesn't work, it's like it's clicking on the desktop to make the start menu close?

i assume you have tried restarting?
If that doesn't do it perhaps a system restore, if someone else does not have a solution, as it could probably any number of things.
