Default SQL Server Service manager

This program came up on my taskbar on the lower left hand side by my volume icon and AIM icon....what is this it says it is a microsoft based program but this is the first time i have seen it and i dont know what it is.... once again it says its SQL Server Serive Manager

Sounds like you are running an SQL server. What OS are you using?

I am using Windows XP Media Center edition...why do i have this SQL Server Service though...I am at Temple University and using their servers if that means anyhthing

You could have an application on the machine that is connected to SQL server on domain. Its nothing.

Can I uninstll this from the add/remove programs list?? since i dont need it nor do i want it
