Spywareguard user question

I use spywareguard and everytime my computer boots up I get the following message:

spywareguard browser protection alert!

An attempt to change IE settings has been detected.

Warning! Your ie homepage has been changed!\\Your IE current user homepage has benn changed from

http://www.altavista.com

to

http://www.google.com

What would you like to do: restore or keep?



What can I do to stop getting this annoying alert? Is there a way to turn it off? If so, how?

Run MSCONFIG (Start > Run) and uncheck the box next to the file name that corresponds with SpywareGuard. That should do it for you.

Won't that defeat the purpose of having SG on my system though?

yes it would

run adaware and spybot s+d updated and if it still happens post a hijackthis log

Disable and re-enable the browser homepage shield in the spywareguard settings.

I've still yet to find any spyware programs that can effectively and permanently....REMOVE KEYLOGGERS.
