Default Sperating a partition installing another OS..

Alright, so I am currently running on windows Vista RTM and the new drivers ETC arn't out yet so playing a game is kinda difficult.
So what I'd like to do is seperate my 152GB partition and keep vista on a small chunch of the first partition and install Xp on the bigger one so I can plays games ETC, but still have vista for its features. Is it possible?
Thanks for the help!
