SP2 Troubleshoot: CD Drive not recognizable after installation

go to dell sight and search for updated driver, if that doesn't work register at driverguide.com and search for your driver.

Not necessarily. Maybe all it needs is a reinstalled and/or updated driver. Did you look at the error message he provided?

"The driver may be corrupted or missing"

Why should he have to spend 4 or 5 hours reinstalling Windows when it may only take a minute & a half to install a new driver?
