sound problem

I need help getting sound on certain sites that use Macromedia falsh players-hallmark being the major one. Whenever I try to listen to one of their cards, I can't hear the sound but see the picture. Windows Media Player and iTunes work, and when I checked hallmark on another computer, it worked. Hallmark uses Macromedia Flash player. Can anyone help me solve this?

So your sound card works fine playing, say a media file that isn't flash? Do you have the latest version of macromedia flash? I think it's version 8 now. If you have a very old version, sometimes it causes problems when a flash movie is made using a newer version.

I installed macromedia flash player 8 and it doesn't play the sound, video still works.
