Sound problem

Under multimedia it says ESS allegro PCI audio (WDM)
MPU-401 compatible midi device

What do I download from ESS tech?

that just ran a batch job real quick without being able to read anything.

a) Download the ESS PCI device identifier utility
b) Unzip the utility to your desktop
c) Execute the ESPCI_ID.BAT file
d) Use windows explorer to find this file: C:\RESULT.TXT
e) Double click the file to open
f) Look for the &DEV_1xxx in the RESULT.TXT
g) If you see &DEV_1969, please download the correct ES1938/ES1946 driver for your operating system
h) If you see &DEV_1998 or &DEV_199A, and you DO NOT have a Dell notebook, you may download the correct ES1980 Maestro-3 drivers for your operating system.

I have &DEV_1988 should I download that wdm? and should I delete everything else under sound,video and game controllers under device manager.
