i did some research and most of the articles i found were related to codec's. try removing them and updating. as atomic said you should also check for malware.

Try going to the system event viewer, which is under administrative tools, and look for something relating to explorer. Look over the error messages. Maybe if there is one pertaining to explorer, you can use the more info link to see if this is a documented problem.

Is the RPC service started? If its not, start it and then run sfc/ scannow

Can you browse thry the XP cd and copy over and replace explorer.exe? You will need to do this in safemode

Have you tried using system restore to a much earlier date?

Did you try running CCleaners reg tool? If not, run it

If you have these two keys below, delete them and reboot

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\explorer.exe

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplorer.exe

thanks for ur guy effort... I did some research and finally found the answer :

“Windows XP Explorer has a 'feature' to provide a preview in the Details box on the left of the file you have selected, if it’s supported. Image files, HTML pages, video clips, MP3s, etc are all previewed (even with the folder view open).
If you have a large movie clip and it either is corrupt (ie. no index from a partial download) or it uses an unsupported codec, then Explorer tries to load the whole file. This can slow your computer a lot and prevent deleting/renaming/moving/etc the file until it’s finished.

soturn off the preview feature in windows solve my problem
