Hi,
Sorry if i post the thread again but my problem remains unsolve.

When i use Windows Explorer to browse video or music , a error window pop up quite often...

Below is the error details.:

delete temp files
delete temporary internet files

is your system up to date via windows update?

possibilities:
1) an installation of something has corrupted or has "broken" file association
2) there is presence of malware on your system

I am not sure why that error pic you posted would relate to notepad.exe as it shows.

Hi, this rig is not connected to internet ( ever ). I just use it to play games and watch movies.

Ya, u r rite , usually the error is windowexplorer.exe...
I try to run sfc/scannow , but DOS window pop up one second the dissapear . nothing else happen ...

if it is not connected to internet...I think your problem then is it just needs updating from windows update

can you get notepad.exe from another machine? That error message shows notepad.exe. Get it from another XP machine which is located in windows\system32.

Delete the old one and copy the new one in

HI, thanks for the advice I iwll try it out . But i think is not the notepad error ... before that I got quite often the Windows explorer.exe error., wheneven i browse file. ( now still occur)

The only reason we thought it was notepad is because that error you posted is directed directly toward notepad.

Maybe try a repair?
