So your a Chase member and Chase emails you with this email below? What do you do? Do you reply to it by clicking the link below? Do you want to know how to read it? It's a Phishing Scam. Never ever click anything in this email to access your Chase account. Just because you hover over the link that you click and it shows the correct url doesnt mean its ok to click, heres why. I just received this email. Here is how to read it:

When you click the link below, it opens a new page, at the top of the page you will see a url ---> https://chaseonline.chase.com/colappmgr/colportal/confirm/?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=page_logonform If you try to copy the url and paste it, you will receive some other kind of information. If you copy and paste the email message into Frontpage and examine the code, you see this:

Return-Path: srojeff@hotmail.com

So someone from my-tomato with a return email address of srojeff@hotmail.com is trying to phish you. Pretty neat huh? Now go here http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation

and type in the ip address 218.7.184.130. You will see this email originated from Beijing. Since when is Chase from Beijing? Sinse when do they outsource to other countries?

Chase will never ask you for this info below:

Login to your Chase Internet Banking account. In case you are not enrolled yet for Internet Banking, you will have to use your Social Security Number as both your Personal ID and Password and fill in the required information, including your name and account number. Now if you copy this url into your browser, what do you get? See how Chase has two ee's Ex. chasee...look below

http://chaseonline.chasee.com/colappmgr/colportal/index.htm

The real url to Chase login is:
http://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?...ng/account_access/page/PFSCreditAccountAccess

You will receive a "The page cannot be displayed" if you try to copy and paste it in your browser. If you click the Apply button and access this page once, close it and try to access it again, you will not be able to. Give it a try if you want to test it out. Just wanted to give you all a little heads up. People do this everyday.
