smtp/pop3 service cofiguration problem

I put in place a smtp/pop3 service in a windows 2003 environment, but sending an email from an mail box I have the following error:

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

testmail5@mail.xxxxxxxxx.com

Reporting-MTA: dns;xxxxxxxxserver

Arrival-Date: Sun, 19 Feb 2006 18:28:51 +0100

Final-Recipient: rfc822;testmail5@mail.xxxxxx.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.3.5

status indicates a configuration error but I do not KNOW what it is-

Do you have to log on to the Server thru TSL or SSL? I know that with GMail i have had to make sure that SSL is active for when i want to send a message.

That is the first thing that comes to mind. What email app are you using and what service are you going thru?

thanks for the answwr. I do not need SSL. The service works well when I send an email using a client with the user of the server. The problem is instead when the mails arrive to the server. The input mail become bad mail and the server resend a "Delivery to the following recipients failed" message. What do u think?
