Slower than a 500Mhz! PLEASE HELP!

Hey guys!

Serious problem! I have got this new laptop ...

2.8Ghz Intel Celeron Processor
64Mb ATI 7000 Graphics
192Mb DDR Ram

I have tried playing games on it and it seems to run games EVEN SLOWER than my old 500Mhz system with a 8Mb Intel Graphics Adapter! Its freaky! Help me ... please!

Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be?

Help would be VERY appriciated!

was it a fresh build? did you scan for malware & viruses? Is it only slow while playing games?

Could it be related to heat? Laptops are pretty susceptible since they're generally used on your lap and don't cool well.

Yeah...i know.....it seems that laptops get pretty usuless cuz they hav hardly any air flow![unless u set them on a hard surface]

First off......that isnt enough memory to run XP on very well. it nees at least twice that or more. Second......hey its a Celeron, it only gets so good. Third...you problably need to start turning things off.........services and startup items.
