It may be because you updgraded pretty much everything except the graphics card, and that is holding your system back. Maybe the card isn't capable of keeping up with your new components. I don't know, I'm not an expert, but that seems like a logical explanation to me.

May be the software, you changed processor families from intel to amd, and although they have similar instruction sets they are not the same.The software may be optimized for intel stuff, this does happen quite a bit.Somethimes a piece of software may be setup to use 3dnow instead of MMX, its rare but it happens.

Not the definitve answer here but no one else has mentioned it.Ive seen cases where a 200mhz pentium w/mmx out performed an amd k6-2 500mhz, it can happen.Just depends on what your running software wise sometimes.
