Slimming down Windows XP

Hiya peeps,

Thought I would post a topic on how Windows XP can be slimmed down and how to save some serious hard drive space.

Any suggestions would be helpful to everyone ...

Do not include solitaire, minesweeper, system restore, backgrounds, styles, mousepointers, sounds...

first thing what i do whenever install windowsXP is:

disable MSN Explorer
Disable Games and few things from accesories (mouse pointers, screen savers, desktop wall papers)

and turn off remote assistance, automatic updates and finally System restore on all hard drives

this saves me around 300Megs of space out of rubbish.

i dont need to wrry about disk space......i have a 100GB HDD and hopefully another 60GB HDD comin soon! lol

i do both of what blind_arrow and major. both made good suggestions.
