Have you tried different cables? Have you checked your master/slave settings? Have you checked your jumper settings?
Hehe. This was pretty much it.
I had a bad cable connecter leading to one of the drives, and the jumpers were set wrong on another, and my boot priority was all messed up. I don't know how I got this thing working, ever.
Because of that stuff, it tried to boot from the network for some reason.
