showing more ram than installed

My system was recently reimaged and it is show 8gb RAM when only 4gb is installed. The tech said me based my image on his machine. They are both the same make and model, except I have 4gb and he has 8bg. Will I experience any issue since my system is not reading the ram correctly? dave

Download this HWMonitor CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
Screen shot the image of your hardware profile and upload back here.
Also click start, type system info and hit enter.
Copy what it says about your system, both hwmonitor and windows system info should match.

If not, maybe something wrong with your imaged backup. ;/

The image probably took the settings from his pc, which also includes the installed RAM. Which is why it's generally best if you're imaging pc's to make sure you have the EXACT same specs for every pc. RAM, Processor heck even HDD.
