setting default?

I am almost embarrassed to ask this. but on this system, I have no clue. how do I set the default location for any downloads I may do. On my last system (Windows Vista home premium), all of the downloads went into the "downloads" file. whoever owned this laptop prior to me may have changed that setting, because that is not where they are going to for me. this is running windows 7 professional. I do not know where they are going at this point, or how to find them. I did a search for "downloads" and the file shows up empty.

Depends on what browser you're using.

Should be an option in whatever browser you're using in the settings for it.

yes, depends on what brower that you use... if you use Chorme, you can go to Option->Setting -> Advances Setting -> Dowload then click on brower then choose location where you want
