Hi,
Here at work we just spun up a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Standard machine.
We are trying to install an application and for some reason when we double click the exe nothing happens at all on the screen.
We go to the even viewer and an event_id = 1000 is captured.
At first we tried to install an app made by CA, so we thought it was due to the version not being compatible, as the exe opens in 2008.
Today we attempted to install a different program all together and same exact thing is happening.
The CA tool is packaged using InstallAnywhere
This next exe is packaged using InstallJammer
Is there anything within the Server 2012 OS that could prevent these from launching? Or a workaround?
I've tried to run as Amin, run in compatibility mode, and not success.
This is what i'm getting for both in the event viewer:
Exception Code: 0xc0000005
EventID: 1000
Application Error
At this point now idea what to do
Any help would be appreciated
