I always used to put windows XP on its ows partition on main HDD (10GB), swap file on dedicated partition on my secondary HDD (4GB), and all temp and cache files relocate to its own partition also on secondary HDD (6GB).

Is it stil wise to do so with a new windows 7???
If so , also what sizes u will recommend (except the windows one which i will make much bigger uniting it with my apps (somewhwere around >100GB))

i would think this configuration would still increase performance. I'm not aware of any changes to windows memory management. This configuration allows 2 drives to do the work that typically one does.

At most i would separate the pagefile from the system drive. I have not noticed any problems with having the temp and cache files loaded on the system partition.
