Sending error reports to microsoft

I have been getting alot of prompts when I attempt to open a page stating there was an error "do you want to send an error report" I send the error reports and wasn't given any feedback or advise as to what caused the problem. What is this error reporting? It doesn't seem very helpful to me.

yes i agree, disable the error reporting process as it is pretty much useless. you know ms is not reading even a quarter of the error reports from users on a weekly or even monthly basis.

Actually they said that i qualify for a free trip to Microsoft-Land. The funny thing was, they asked me to bring my computer and my checkbook.
