Exclamation Security Tools For Portable HDD

hi guys!
i bought a DATAMORE Portable HDD 80GB last week
its functionality is great. i just wanted to know whethere is there any software that i can install in the HDD to protect my data?
like for example:
i plug in my HDD, then like a dialoug box appears to ask mw type a pass to enter the HDD
then i must type it so that i can view the files
OR
i open my HDD. go to folder"abc"
a dialoug box appears to ask me type a pass to view the files(i prefer this type)

Is your video adapter on board? if it is, there is possibility that the "missing" 8MB is allocated to it. Once RAM is allocated to other hardware that need it, it wont be recognized by your OS.
