Searching Desperately

Recently I had my Compaq presario serviced with a replacement of OS, Windows ME millenium to Windows XP home ed. Well In trying to to access my music again I found out that half of my music was no longer playable. It seems the licences or the some permission files were currupted and no longer allowed a butt-load of my music to be played. It suggests ripping the music again, which is of course impossible, I can't find those 400+ music files again.

So, is there anything like a hack, a patch, or something I can do about this please help me out.

does it say access denied or the licenses r corrupt or what. if u just lost permissions u could prolly take ownership of the files again in file security altho u have home and i have pro and i dunno if they have the advanced file security stuff in home

enable wmp to restore the license for those file and don't rip to wma again
