Default searching in address bar (SearchURL)

Last year i edited the registry in the SearchURL to automatically search webpages such as:

e hard drive = would search ebay for Hard drives
g tech forums - would search google for Tech Forums
etc etc...

For some reason, a few months ago i cant use this anymore, when i try to i see the status bar tryin to open:

http://e%20hard%20drives/

I havent messed with it but now im gettin kinda impatient and cant figure it out. anyone got any ideas?

Did you save the entry that you modified? If so, just back it up and you should be fine

Im guessing this is what it used to be:

http://home.microsoft.com/access/autosearch.asp?p=%s

And then the provider is MSN in the second string

I 100% my PC is spyware free. My job is to remove spyware on a daily basis and my pc is on lockdown. I think the removal of something messed up the autosearch option in IE...

It will work in Opera but not IE, i just want to search in the address bar instead of having to load a search engine first

You say your job is to remove adaware and your pc is on lockdown but yet you said adware might have taken it with it? I think its just a registry error you made..
