I just installed a scsi drive w/a scsi card onto windows xp and although the device manager lists it, windows doesn't see it....I think I just answered my own question - use a disk utility to format it and then presto? Ok I'll try that.
when you boot the computer you should see the bios listing of the scsi card, you can access that and format the drive for use easily, you can also see if it lists it in Disk Management as well
