Hey guys, yesterday my computer started resizing my screen when it starts up. I have it set on 1280x1024 and when it boots up it fills the whole screen for about a second and then the screen moves in about 1 inch on each side and just a little bit on the tops and bottoms. I can fix it by changing the resolution to something else and then changing it back to 1280x1024 but does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance!

what monitor is it and what system are you running.
Do you have drivers for display adapters/graphics card?

I'm running Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 8200. I've got all the drivers and I haven't don't anything to them as far as I know, it just started all of a sudden.

This happens a lot if the monitor is run on a mode that is not ideally suited ... If continued it might damage the monitor permanantly ...

Ensure that ur monitor supports the mode ..at the refresh rate u've set it at currently
