is there away to remove scheduled tak option from system tray but still have the option of running something if I want to be going through start, programs, accessaries, sys tools? If so, how? Any help is appreciated.
It should still be in the control panel, I have Win 98SE on an older laptop and it's there...
Anyways, you can still disable it by double clicking on the icon in the taskbar, which should bring up the scheduled tasks window. Click advanced, and then click "stop using task scheduler."
It can be enabled anytime by going through the control panel procedure I have posted above, except it should say "start" as opposed to "stop".
