Greetings people,

I have a little problem going on here, I'm using Windows XP Pro. SP2, and I've been having this problem ever since a blackout hit the area where I live in, whenever I restart the computer, or turn it on or whatever, scandisk runs when the computer boots and scans my second HDD (E:\), I've let it finish scanning a million times but whenever I reboot it has to scan all over again, it doesn't even detect errors or anything...

Is there any possible way I can stop it? It's getting annoying...

Thanks, in advance.

Try and setup your own check disk, it will tell you that it will check the drive on the next reboot. Reboot - let the scan finish - shut down completly and then restart and see if it tries to scan again.

Already tried that, didn't fix the issue...
