the other day i used a program called "end it all" to close out programs so that i could perform a scan disk, de frag. I had used this program before with no problems. this time major problem, i could not get into the pc. all i saw was a microsoft network icon, then windows loggo came and then a blue screen and nothing more. i got in touch with compaq and got it fixed, but now i have the problem that when i run a scan disk it stops at about 50 % and the pc freezes on me. i tried this with it in safe mode, standard and through scan disk, same result. i cant defrag first because it will stop and tell me to scan disk first. i have freed up my system resources from 41% to 90% with compaqs help.
they are suggesting a reformat. is there any thing i can do to get the scan disk to finish it operation. i have windows me. thank you very much for your time and help.
