saving a video from a web page to hard drive

If you have Frontpage, here is what you can do. The page and video you want to keep, hit ctrl a, ctrl c, then paste it into Frontpage, then go to the codes and look for the file or address, copy and paste the link in your browser, save the file and its now yours. Almost any file. You might have to do some searching, but you will find it. Works great on Flash movies and intros.
 
It's part of Microsoft office 2003, the one I use anyways....not free....you might find a trial thou...
 
you could copy the link, go into media player, open url, and save it like that.
 
I tried that in windows meadia player and it says i need more codecs to be able to do that. Which codecs do I need, and where do I find them?
 
I saw a headline for an ultimate coecs pack on DailyRotation the other day, but I can't find it now.
