Saving contacts in outlook to a flash drive.

I don't work with outlook much so I have a question about it. I have a friend that their computer got a virus and the hdd had to be fixed. When it came back her new contacts from the last 4 or so months were gone. Is there a way to save her contacts to a flash drive so she can have them to backup if it ever happens again?
