Save as 2003 in 2007

I have word 2007 and Vista at home but at school they only have word 2003. Now whenever I save a file in 2007 and email it to myself and try to open it at school in 2003 I can't because its a different version. Is there anyway in 2007 I can save it so it will open in 2003?

Yep. I have to use it in order to send in my college papers.

Click the Microsoft logo in the upper left corner. Choose "Save As...", and then click "Word 97-2003 document".

Trotter is close. You will have to go under Save Options to get the save as option. It will allow you to choose the .doc format or leave it as the .docx format.

you are both right. you can do it either way. you can download the compatibility pack to make office 2003 read docx (which is nothing else but a zipped document. you can extract them with zipping programs )
